Permits and inspections in Hollywood
- Permitting runs through the City of Hollywood Building Division, and we pull permits in our own name. An unlicensed contractor cannot, which is how homeowners end up carrying the liability themselves.
- Structural work, roofing, electrical, plumbing and mechanical changes are permitted and inspected in stages. Purely cosmetic work generally is not.
- Windows, doors and roofing must carry approvals valid for the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone. Keep the paperwork, because your insurer will ask for it.
